On The Ocean returns to Thompson’s Point on Saturday and Sunday for two days of music at the waterside venue. Spread out your blanket, visit your favorite food trucks, bring the little ones to the kids zone, and soak up the waterfront atmosphere.

On Sunday night at Thompson’s Point, Guster will take the stage for a special 20th anniversary celebration, performing their 2006 album Ganging Up on the Sun in full. It’s the only full-album performance taking place this year.

ON THE OCEAN GOES TO THE SYMPHONY
Guster will kick off On The Ocean weekend with the Portland Symphony Orchestra for a symphony concert at the beautiful Merrill Auditorium in downtown Portland, Maine. Dress up in your finest dresses, tuxedos, or tuxedo t-shirts and join us on Friday, August 7 for the first-ever On The Ocean symphony show.

By day, Guster’s On The Ocean invites you to explore Portland with a full lineup of unforgettable activities. Paddle out on guided kayak tours, set sail on scenic harbor cruises, give back through REVERB service projects, and take part in the all-new Easy Wonderful 5K, designed for runners, walkers, and all. It’s the perfect way to experience Portland, connect with fellow fans, and make the most of every moment all weekend long.
ON THE OCEAN IS FOR FAMILIES
On The Ocean is for all ages, so make it a family weekend! Kids under 13 can attend both days at Thompson’s Point with discounted kids ticket pricing. We've partnered with the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine, located adjacent to the Thompson’s Point venue, to create the ultimate festival Kids Zone from 4 PM to 7 PM both days, featuring arts and crafts, outdoor free play, and more.
BISSELL BROTHERS BREWING
We’ve partnered with Bissell Brothers Taproom and Brewery, located at Thompson’s Point right next to the venue, as the official On The Ocean meetup spot. From exclusive merch pop-ups to pours of our custom On The Ocean Pale Ale, Bissell Brothers will be buzzing all weekend long. Whether you’re grabbing a pre-show pint or heading over for Saturday’s official afterparty, it’s the perfect place to meet up with friends and fellow fans.
